Padlet is a collaboration tool that is useful for collecting, organizing, and presenting information.   It can be used in a live lesson or asynchronously.  The CESW Tech Center is able to provide a license for Padlet to CESW faculty on a first come, first served basis.

Nearpod is a platform that makes teaching and learning more interactive.  It includes real-time student responses, valuable reporting tools for the instructor, and increases student engagement.   Nearpod works synchronously through the live participation mode, or asynchronously via the student-paced mode.  

Faculty in CESW are able to request a license for Nearpod through the CESW Tech Center.  Licenses are distributed on a first come, first served basis.  Please email Kristen Crans if interested in learning more about Nearpod.  We are happy to provide training on how to incorporate Nearpod into your instruction.

Teaching Channel is a comprehensive video library providing video resources to assist in preparing future generations of teachers.  With over 1,600 videos to choose from, there are examples to support most instructional topics and methodologies taught in the higher ed classroom. 

We have an LTI integration for Teaching Channel, which provides direct access to Teaching Channel through D2L.  Please follow these instructions to access Teaching Channel within your course. For assistance or questions, please email Kristen Crans.  

SchoolSims Logo

SchoolSims is a simulation based experiential learning system for K-12 professional development and higher education curriculums. It can be used for immersive and interactive learning experiences with real-world applications, customization, and data-driven insights.

Videatives Logo

Videatives is an early childhood focused video platform that provides videos which highlight what children know and in turn helps instructors better support children’s learning. It can be used as a reference to add authenticity to lectures as well as clarity to training sessions. It also builds an understanding of the value of play and ways teachers can help children reflect on their own experiences.

Atlas Logo

Atlas is a unique, searchable online library of authentic video cases of accomplished teaching practice indexed to common teaching and learning frameworks across a wide variety of classroom settings. The 1500+ video library can be filtered by subject, grade level, or framework.

Skillsetter Logo

Skillsetter is a practice training system that allows learners to practice interpersonal skills anywhere. It is an asynchronous remote experience that helps students improve behavioral skill development with feedback from instructors. Skillsetter is designed for Counselor Education and Social Work training.

Hypothesis Logo

Hypothesis is a social annotation tool embedded into D2L where students and faculty can highlight and comment directly on online articles, websites, videos, and more without switching platforms, fostering participation and deeper engagement with course materials.
