About the Staff: Meet Connie Paolino

Connie has always been passionate about the natural world and gardening. She received the gene from both sides of her family. Her Italian grandfather immigrated to this country and started a produce farm just outside of Philadelphia and her German grandfather also settled in the area where he created orchards for family members.

This natural passion for nature quickly evolved into a desire to create art. Connie attended Moore College of Art & Design and has been creating art ever since. As an extension of this expansion, gardening was always a top priority. She currently volunteers at Tyler Arboretum, just outside of Media, PA as a Docent and Historian and has found herself (through her daughter who is a staff member at University Student Housing ) at West Chester University volunteering in their community gardens. 

Connie’s current desire is to keep learning everything she can, not only about sustainable gardening practices, but also by creating nurturing, welcoming and vibrant spaces for students and community members to enjoy the bounty of nature.
