West Chester University faculty are encouraged to apply to teach an Honors Seminar. Honors seminars are interdisciplinary courses that speak to our Honors College mission of preparing students to become leaders in addressing the most important questions facing our world. Honors seminars are listed in the catalog as Writing Emphasis (W) and Interdisciplinary (I), and therefore must include the associated student learning outcomes.
Evaluation Criteria: The Application Review Team is composed of several faculty from the Honors Core and Honors Seminar Pathway courses. The Review Team aims to select a diverse lineup of seminars that speak to our Honors mission, challenge students to engage with multiple perspectives, and create high-impact learning experiences.
Honors Participation: Faculty teaching for the Honors College are asked to participate in events, such as Recruitment Interviews, Honors College Faculty Meetings, Graduation, and Honors College Gatherings.
Timeline: Decisions will be communicated by the Honors College as early as possible to allow faculty to plan effectively with their departments.
