Dr. Bridget Asempapa

Bio

Dr. Bridget Asempapa is a licensed professional counselor and a professional school counselor in the state of Ohio. She has experience in college and school counseling, as well as mental health consultation. She teaches theories and techniques, organization and administration of school counseling programs, and field experience courses.

Asempapa’s research interest includes integrated care, supervision for international students in school counseling, ethical issues in counseling, and ambiguous loss in children. Her most recent scholarly work focused on developing an instrument to measure integrated care competencies in graduate counseling students. Asempapa has presented on various topics, including integrated care, at international, national, state, and local conferences. She is the 2017 winner of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) Foundation Dissertation Research Scholarship Award.

Previous employment includes Mental Health Consultant and Hopewell Health Centers and Teaching assistant/instructor at Ohio University.
