Tyson Hall was named for S. Elizabeth Tyson, an Assistant Professor of English. The hall was built in 1962.

Room Set Up

Tyson Hall is set up in a typical residence hall layout with two students per room (double) or three students per room (trio) and community bathrooms.

Tyson Hall rooms are approximately 15'10"X 10'5" with 2 windows each measuring 70" high X 40" wide. All rooms have air conditioning units.

A double room is equipped with two beds with 80" mattresses, two desks, two chairs, two dressers, a mirror and two closets.

A trio room is equipped with three beds with 80" mattresses, three desks, three chairs, three dressers and three tall cabinets.

Computer Facilities: There are 4 computers located in 102 Lounge.
Elevators: There are 2 elevators located in the center of the building.
Kitchenettes: There is 1 kitchenette located on the first floor in the back lobby.
Laundry Rooms: There is one laundry room located on each residential floor.
Photocopiers: Located on the first floor.
ResNet: ResNet is the computer network provided to students living on campus. ResNet is a student's access to the university network and the World Wide Web.
Study Rooms: Tyson Hall does not have study rooms. Most residents study in the large lobbies located on each floor.
Television Lounges: There are 2 TV lounges, both located on the first floor.

Monday-Sunday 11:00am-8:00pm (when halls are open)

MAIL

You will be issued a mailbox and combination when you check into your room. Mail is picked up from and delivered to the residence halls and apartments Monday through Saturday. There is no mail delivery on Sundays or holidays.
