Refund Information
- Refunds are processed throughout the semester, beginning the Friday before the semester starts.
- The Financial Aid Office begins aid disbursements the week before the semester starts.
- Refunds due to students who have not enrolled in Direct Deposit will be processed as a paper check payable to the student and mailed to the home address on file.
- Refunds due to a parent from a Federal Parent Plus Loan will be processed as a paper check payable to the parent and mailed to the home address on file.
- Students must make sure their home address is correct in RamPortal and update it if needed to ensure their check is delivered. Contact the Registrar’s Office for help updating your home address: registrar@wcupa.edu or 610-436-3541.
- Checks can take several weeks to arrive by mail. Students are encouraged to set up Direct Deposit to receive their refund faster.
Direct Deposit
- Direct Deposit is a transfer to your bank account that gives you quicker access to your funds and eliminates the risk of checks getting lost or stolen in the mail.
- Students will receive an email when a direct deposit transfer is initiated and typically receive the funds in 2-5 business days.
Directions to enroll in Direct Deposit:
- Log into RamPortal
- Click on Student Financials
- On the right menu bar click on Electronic Refunds
- First time entering direct deposit information, you must first enroll in the two-step authentication to update your refund method in direct deposit (Please note: Your required authentication code for enrollment will be sent to your WCU email or via Text.)
- Once authenticated, click "set up new account"
- Follow the instructions.
- Enter routing and account numbers from your current bank account when prompted
Troubling Shooting Tips
- Enable cookies on your device.
- Turn off pop-up blockers on your device.
- Enrollment in direct deposit refunds requires dual authentication. You will receive a code via your WCU email or Text.
- During busy enrollment periods, it may take up to several minutes for the code to be sent.
- Check your spam or junk email if you elected to receive your code via email and did not receive your code in your inbox.
- If you have made several unsuccessful attempts, please clear your browsing history and start over.

Book Voucher Info
- Students with excess financial aid may be eligible for a book voucher.
- Book vouchers may be obtained at the Bursar’s Office no earlier than the first day of the semester.
- WCU Book Vouchers are redeemable ONLY at the SSI Bookstore, located on the ground floor of Sykes Student Union on Rosedale Avenue.
