                Biography
            Dr. Schugar graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with degrees in Curriculum and Instruction (B.S. '01, M.Ed. '05, Ph.D. '08). Her current research interests center on the role of mobile technologies in reading instruction, with a particular focus on students' comprehension when reading from these devices. Her work has been presented widely and published in journals such as The Reading Teacher. In addition, Dr. Schugar's research has been featured by media outlets such as The New York Times, NPR, Education Week, NBC News, Real Simple magazine, and Men's Fitness. Her current research is examining the use of artificial intelligence (AI)
