Biography

A Buffalo, NY native, Dr. Schmidt is a former secondary English teacher who is now teaching future English Teachers. She is also the Director of the West Chester Writing Project. She just published her first book with her research and teaching partner, Dr. Matthew Kruger-Ross. They are now working on new research that blends arts-based and place-based pedagogies with local field trips for teachers; they are also facilitating a Study Abroad in May 2024 to London!
