The WCU Live! Performing Arts Series is for the enjoyment of the campus and larger West Chester area and surrounding communities and presents internationally acclaimed artists in the disciplines of dance, music, theatre, and family entertainment.
The President’s Speaker Series brings nationally-recognized and award-winning journalists, scientists, political leaders, writers, and entertainers from across the globe to West Chester University for thought-provoking and educational discussions with WCU President Christopher Fiorentino.

Preacher Lawson was born in Portland, OR, but spent most of his adolescence in Memphis, TN. He moved 20 times before the age of 10, but if you asked him what city he's from he'd say Orlando, FL, because that's where he grew as a comedian. Preacher is best known for his appearance on season 12 of NBC’s hit series, AMERICA’S GOT TALENT (2017) where he made it to the final round. Based off his stellar performance in season 12, Preacher was invited to compete on AMERICA'S GOT TALENT: THE CHAMPIONS (2019) and BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT: THE CHAMPIONS (2019) where he advanced to the finale after receiving the most fan votes. Preacher can be seen on HBO’s A BLACK LADY SKETCH SHOW and NBC’s CONNECTING. He was also the host of the Facebook Watch series WORLD’S MOST AMAZING DOGS (2019) with George Lopez and Lisa Vanderpump and has built a following on YouTube of over 500,000 subscribers. In 2019, Preacher shot his first stand-up special, GET TO KNOW ME, which premiered on BET+. Preacher recently completed his residency hosting AGT Live in Las Vegas and continues to perform at sold-out venues around the country.

A formerly unknown legal researcher who became a 20th century icon overnight thanks to Julia Roberts' Oscar-winning tour de force, Erin Brockovich's dogged persistence was the impelling force behind the largest medical settlement lawsuit in history. A modern-day “David” who loves a good brawl with today’s “Goliaths," Erin thrives on being the voice for those who don’t know how to yell. She is a rebel, an environmentalist, and a mother. She is also a strong believer that it only takes one person to make a difference. And so in engagements around the world, Erin uses her life experiences to motivate and bring inspiration to audiences, providing lessons on her four steps to success, her motto for resilience and perseverance, and advocacy for causes that matter.
Since her investigation uncovered that Pacific Gas & Electric had been poisoning the small town of Hinkley’s Water for over 30 years-- leading to the largest direct action lawsuit of its kind that resulted in the utility giant paying $333 million in damages to more than 600 Hinkley residents-- Erin has leant her voice to other key issues such as the Flint Water Crisis.
