University Assessment Advisory Committee
The University Assessment Advisory Council (UAAC) is one of the four university-wide committees supporting the work of The Teaching, Learning and Assessment Center (TLAC). The UAAC is charged with:
- Evaluating program assessment per the Assurance of Learning (ASL) initiative.
- Disseminating ASL results.
- Celebrating milestones and recognizing exemplary assessment practices at WCU.
- Providing support for institutional accreditation.
- Providing professional development opportunities.
- Supporting Assessment Coordinators.
In addition to the Annual ASL Review (outlined in the ASL Annual Review document ), UAAC publishes and distributes its annual Exemplary Practices in Assessment document featuring effective assessment practices at WCU and offers multiple brown-bag workshops and seminars on emergent and local assessment issues throughout the academic year.
Committee members are elected from across many organizational units across campus and are available to colleagues for assessment-related assistance. Current committee members include:
